Real Estate Drama Coming to Hulu

Real estate is no stranger to drama, and a new Hulu series is set to bring that drama front and center. Executive produced by George Stephanopoulos and Ali Wentworth, “The Pinnacle” is in the works at the streaming giant. Written by Damon Cardasis, a writer with multiple award nominations under his belt, the series will take viewers on a journey through New York City. The storyline follows a man who finds himself in the upper-class world while working as a sobriety companion to the son of a wealthy family living on Billionaires’ Row. While specific character details are still a mystery, one thing is for sure – the world of real estate will be at the heart of the series.

Interestingly, another real estate drama was slated for Hulu, with Edgar Ramirez and Jacob Scipio set to play rival developers and former partners battling for control of Manhattan’s skyline. However, that project is no longer moving forward.

Real estate has a long history on television, with reality shows like “Selling Sunset” and “Million Dollar Listing” turning brokers and industry figures into celebrities. But scripted dramas centering on real estate are gaining popularity too. Netflix’s “Dead to Me” starred Christina Applegate as a real estate agent in Laguna Beach searching for her husband’s killer, while Jeff Daniels played an Atlanta real estate developer on the brink of bankruptcy in “A Man in Full.”

Movies have also delved into real estate narratives, with films like “Glengarry Glen Ross” and “The Big Short” shining a spotlight on the industry. Even shows like “The Apprentice” have featured real estate storylines, portraying a young Donald Trump starting his career in real estate. The world of real estate is full of intrigue and excitement, and these shows and movies are just the beginning of what’s to come.
