Multi-Story Apartment Building in West Houston Engulfed in Flames: Authorities

A fire broke out in a west Houston apartment building, starting on the third floor and spreading down to the second floor, as reported by the Houston Police Department. The incident occurred at an apartment complex near Briar Forest Drive and Tanglewilde Street on a Saturday afternoon.

According to the Houston Fire Department, the fire was successfully extinguished before 6:30 p.m. However, it was not without incident, as a firefighter sustained a shoulder injury and was taken to the hospital. Fortunately, the firefighter is in stable condition and expected to recover.
