Meryl Streep’s $372M Hit Dominates on Disney+ Post Box Office Success

Pixar’s latest animated hit, featuring the talented voice of Meryl Streep, is making waves on Disney+. “Hoppers” isn’t just a hit in the movie category, it’s dominating every series on the platform.

According to FlixPatrol’s data for June 8, 2026, “Hoppers” is leading Disney+’s Top 10 Movies and Top 10 Overall lists. Since its premiere on June 3, it has climbed to the top spot in over 50 countries, surpassing all other titles on the platform.

Directed by Daniel Chong, who also co-wrote the story and screenplay with Jesse Andrews, and produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle, known for her work on other Pixar favorites like Toy Story 3 and Monsters University, “Hoppers” tells the story of Mabel, a determined college student on a mission to save her local wildlife habitat from city expansion.

Inspired by nature documentaries, Chong shared in an interview with D23 that the idea for the story came from the concept of placing robots in the animal world to see how they fit in. The result is a comedy that explores the sometimes quirky interactions between humans and the animal kingdom.

Featuring an all-star voice cast including Meryl Streep, Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, and Kathy Najimy, among others, “Hoppers” made its theatrical debut on March 6, 2026. With a reported budget of $150 million, the film went on to earn an impressive $372 million worldwide. Currently holding a critics’ score of 94% and a user score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, “Hoppers” is proving to be a hit both critically and commercially.
