Michigan Cup Drivers Aim to Make a Mark at Home Track
This Sunday, three NASCAR Cup Series drivers from Michigan are gearing up for the FireKeepers Casino 400 at their home track, Michigan International Speedway. Brad Keselowski, Erik Jones, and Carson Hocevar are all hoping to secure their first victory at the track.
Amongst the active drivers, Brad Keselowski and Chase Elliott have the most second-place finishes without a win at Michigan. Keselowski, the 2012 series champ, has 16 top-10 finishes in 28 races at Michigan, with four top-10 finishes in the last five visits. He has also clinched a pair of victories at the track in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2009 and 2010.
Keselowski, a Rochester Hills native, expressed how meaningful a win at Michigan would be for him, especially with so much family still in the area. He is the sole champion among the Michigan native drivers, and he’s eager to claim that title at his home track.
All eyes will be on Keselowski, Jones, and Hocevar as they aim to make their mark at Michigan International Speedway this weekend. Stay tuned for an exciting race on Prime Video, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio!
