Paramount+ quietly releases full season of Among Us
The hit video game Among Us has made a surprise debut as the latest Paramount+ original series! At the Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles, Paramount+ revealed that they’ve been working on an animated Among Us comedy series. Not only that, but they’ve also quietly released the entire 10-episode season, and you can start streaming it on Paramount+ right now.
During the event, stars Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) and Liv Hewson (Yellowjackets) shared the exciting news and even gave fans a sneak peek at the show’s trailer. Just like the game we all know and love, the series follows a group of colorful space travelers who must figure out which one among them is an alien imposter causing chaos. With a talented and humorous cast, Among Us is not just a murder mystery, but a comedy, turning the game into a hilarious Agatha Christie-style whodunnit.
The show features an impressive voice cast including Wayne Knight (Seinfeld), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings), Patton Oswalt (The Goldbergs), and Debra Wilson and Phil LaMarr from Mad TV, among other talented actors.
Paramount+ shared that adapting Among Us into a series was a natural choice. In 2020, the game had nearly 500 million monthly players and was ranked as the #1 mobile game by October of that year. Additionally, gameplay videos have garnered over 4 billion views on YouTube and over 1 billion views on Twitch, proving that audiences enjoy watching the game as much as playing it.
The journey to bring Among Us to the small screen has been a long one. The adaptation was initially announced back in 2024 and was developed by cartoonist Owen Dennis, known for his work on Cartoon Network’s Regular Show and Infinity Train. Dennis described the game as a mix of creepy and funny, drawing inspiration from iconic sci-fi films like Alien, Star Trek, and The Thing.
You can catch the entire season of Among Us now streaming on Paramount+—don’t miss out on the fun!
