“Among Us Animated Series Premieres on Paramount+: Everything You Need to Know”

Paramount+ recently dropped a bombshell by releasing its new original animated series Among Us during the Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles. The show, created by Owen Dennis and produced by CBS Studios and Innersloth, is now available for streaming exclusively on Paramount+.

The reveal was made even more exciting when series stars Yvette Nicole Brown and Liv Hewson took the stage during the global livestream event to share the news and give fans a sneak peek at the official trailer.

Among Us delves into the world of a quirky group of monochromatic Crewmates aboard a spaceship carrying junk across the galaxy. Their mission? To uncover an Impostor among them before they become victims of the Impostor’s evil intentions. Based on the wildly popular multiplayer social deception game of the same name, the Paramount+ series promises thrills and suspense.

The star-studded voice cast includes Yvette Nicole Brown as “Orange,” Kimiko Glenn as “Cyan,” Liv Hewson as “Black,” Ashley Johnson as “Purple,” Wayne Knight as “Lime,” Phil LaMarr as “Brown,” Randall Park as “Red,” Dan Stevens as “Blue,” Debra Wilson as “Yellow” and the “Computer,” Elijah Wood as “Green,” and Patton Oswalt as “White.”

Owen Dennis, the creator of Among Us, also serves as an executive producer alongside Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser from Innersloth. The animation studio Titmouse is on board, with executive producers Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina making sure everything runs smoothly.

The Among Us game took the world by storm, amassing nearly 500 million monthly active users at its peak in Q4 2020. The game garnered over 4 billion views on YouTube and more than 1.22 billion viewing sessions on Twitch. In October 2020, it dominated the charts, ranking #1 on Google Play in 66 countries and #1 on iOS in 55 countries, with Top 100 placements across the globe.
