Three New “The Simpsons” Episodes to Premiere on Disney+ This Summer
The beloved animated sitcom, “The Simpsons,” has been a staple of television for decades. From its humble beginnings on “The Tracey Ullman Show” to its current status as a cultural touchstone, the show has captured the hearts of fans around the world. And this summer, fans can look forward to three brand new episodes dropping directly on Disney+.
Instead of waiting for the regular season on Fox, these new episodes will be available for streaming on Disney+, marking another milestone in the show’s evolution. The first episode, “Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition,” will debut on June 17. In this episode, Marge tires of Homer’s antics and envisions different versions of him, with some unexpected appearances by Laufey and Tegan and Sara. And don’t forget, this one’s a double episode!
On July 3, get ready for a dive into the noir genre with “Simpsley.” Marge heads to Italy on a mission to bring back Seymour Skinner, only to be thwarted by Homer Simspley, the foolish houseguest. And last but not least, on August 26, “Yellow Mirror” will premiere. In this episode, Marge falls under the spell of an AI tablet, while Homer uncovers a “heartbreaking truth” through a faulty lamp.
These three special episodes are in celebration of the show’s 800th episode milestone, showcasing the enduring legacy of “The Simpsons.” With 36 seasons available to stream on Disney+, there’s no shortage of classic episodes to enjoy while you wait for these new ones.
Exciting things are in store for fans of “The Simpsons” this summer, so mark your calendars and get ready for some animated fun on Disney+!
