Ahsoka Season 2 Set to Debut Early 2027
After a lengthy hiatus, “Ahsoka” fans can mark their calendars for the show’s expected return to Disney+ in early 2027, as announced by star Rosario Dawson at Disney’s upfront presentation. The popular Star Wars series initially premiered in August 2023 and quickly gained a dedicated following, consistently ranking in Nielsen’s top 10 original streaming series each week it aired new episodes.
Following the success of the first season, a second season of “Ahsoka” went into development in early 2024. Despite a temporary slowdown in Lucasfilm’s live-action Star Wars projects, with only a couple of other series in production over the past year and a half, fans can look forward to the return of their favorite Jedi on the small screen.
In addition to Dawson reprising her role, season two of “Ahsoka” will welcome back Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker and introduce Game of Thrones star Rory McCann as Baylan Skoll. With an ensemble cast that includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ivanna Sakhno, and more, the upcoming season promises an exciting continuation of the beloved saga.
Fans can also expect behind-the-scenes insights and exclusive content, as showcased in a reel presented by Dawson at the upfront event. The show’s executive producers, including Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, remain committed to bringing fans an immersive and thrilling viewing experience in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates on the return of “Ahsoka” and get ready to embark on another galactic adventure in the Star Wars universe!
