Streaming Ratings: ‘The Boys’ Season Finale Secures Top Spot on Charts
The week of April 6-12 was a big one for R-rated superhero shows on Prime Video.
The final season of The Boys, which premiered on April 8, made a strong return to the Nielsen streaming charts, landing in second place overall. The animated series Invincible, following the previous week’s series high, also had a solid performance. However, neither show could surpass The Pitt, which held onto the top spot for the second consecutive week as the most-streamed title in the United States.
The Pitt racked up an impressive 1.13 billion minutes of viewing for the week leading up to its season two finale on HBO Max. While this was slightly down from the previous week’s 1.16 billion, it marked the ninth consecutive week that the medical drama captured a billion or more viewing minutes. Since the season premiere in January, The Pitt has accumulated nearly 15.5 billion minutes of watch time.
The Boys attracted 899 million minutes of viewing, with about 64 percent of that time (approximately 575.4 million minutes) dedicated to the first two episodes of the show’s fifth and final season. Invincible wasn’t far behind with 566 million minutes, marking the third highest weekly total in the show’s history.
In addition, Netflix’s docuseries Trust Me: The False Prophet made its debut with 85 million minutes of viewing.
