Lucas Museum Star Wars Exhibit: A First for Narrative Art

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art has exciting news just in time for May the 4th, the official Star Wars holiday. They’ve named their first Star Wars exhibition: Star Wars in Motion. This exhibit is part of the museum’s inaugural Cinema showcase and will feature a variety of vehicles from the first six films of the epic saga created by George Lucas.

“Star Wars in Motion” will highlight a range of transportation modes seen in the Star Wars universe, from speedy race cars to massive transport vehicles and even flying ships. Visitors can look forward to seeing iconic vehicles like Luke’s Landspeeder from “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” as well as General Grievous’ Wheel Bike from “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.” The museum promises that this exhibition will immerse audiences in the world of propulsive motion on distant planets.

This Cinema exhibition is just one of over 30 installations that will be on display when the museum opens on Sept. 22. Curated by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, these presentations will showcase the evolution of human culture through visual storytelling. From ancient sculptures to Renaissance paintings, the Lucas Museum’s inaugural collection is sure to captivate visitors with its diverse and engaging exhibits.
