Final Episode of CBS TV Show Now Streaming on Paramount+ Today
A month after officially calling it quits, Paramount+ has just dropped the final episode of the CBS medical mystery drama “Watson” into its streaming library. If you’ve been following along, you can now catch the Season 2 finale starring Morris Chestnut, available for streaming on Paramount+.
“Watson” was a fresh take on the classic Sherlock Holmes story by Arthur Conan Doyle. The show picked up six months after Sherlock’s demise at the hands of Moriarty and followed Dr. John Watson, played by Morris Chestnut, as he starts a clinic in Pittsburgh to help patients with baffling medical conditions, drawing on his time working with Sherlock himself.
So what’s in store for the finale episode on Paramount+? Season 2, Episode 20, titled “The Cobalt Fissure,” was directed by Larry Teng from a script by Rebecca Hofherr and Sharon Moalem. In addition to Chestnut, the final episode includes performers like Eve Harlow, Ritchie Coster, Inga Schlingmann, and guest star Eddie Izzard. The logline promises intrigue: “A seemingly random murder outside of UHOP sets the stage for the arrival of someone from Watson and Sherlock Holmes’ past.”
Behind the scenes, “Watson” was steered by showrunner Craig Sweeney and featured a talented cast including a diverse range of actors. The show was executive produced by Chestnut, Sallie Patrick, and a team of producers that brought the modern Sherlock spin-off to life. It’s definitely worth streaming if you love medical mysteries and a fresh take on classic detective stories!
