Legit Reason to Include Scene-Stealing Handmaid’s Tale Character

after Hulu launched, “The Handmaid’s Tale” became a huge hit, winning Emmys and capturing viewers’ hearts. The book-to-screen adaptation came to a close last year, concluding June’s story. Now, fans with a Hulu subscription are diving back into Gilead with “The Testaments,” and there’s one character from the original series that I’m really hoping to see make a comeback: Ever Carradine’s Naomi Putnam/Lawrence.

“The Testaments” has started off with a bang, picking up where “The Handmaid’s Tale” left off, and fans have been loving the connections between the two shows. While Aunt Lydia, played by Ann Dowd, is a main character in the spinoff, I think it would be fantastic to see Naomi back in the mix as well.

Of course, Naomi’s fate is uncertain after the events of “The Handmaid’s Tale.” With the precarious status of Wives in Gilead and her involvement in returning Angela to Janine, Naomi’s future is up in the air. Maybe she joined Mayday or faced consequences for her actions – the possibilities are endless. Hopefully, the new spinoff will shed light on what happened to her.
