Disney+ launches ad-supported subscription plan in ANZ
Disney+ has rolled out a new subscription plan in Australia and New Zealand called ‘Standard with Ads’ for $9.99 a month. This plan offers viewers more options and value when it comes to streaming content. According to Kylie Watson-Wheeler, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand, this new plan gives audiences the chance to enjoy a wide range of films, TV shows, and sports programming on Disney+ with added flexibility.
Along with the introduction of this new plan, a marketing campaign for Hulu featuring Thomas Brodie-Sangster from the Australian Original series ‘The Artful Dodger’ has also been launched. This campaign showcases the affordability of Disney+ plans starting at $9.99 per month and features popular Hulu series like ‘The Testaments’, ‘FX’s Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette’, and ‘Tell Me Lies’.
Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand is supported by a local advertising team that handles ad sales for Disney+ and ESPN. Subscribers to the streaming service get access to content from various brands including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu, FX, 20th Century Studios, and ESPN. Viewers can enjoy blockbuster movies, original series, and live sports through Disney+.
Not only does Disney+ offer a wide range of content, but it also comes with strong parental controls that allow for PIN-protected profiles and Junior Mode profiles to enhance user experience. Subscribers can also take advantage of the Disney+ Perks program, which provides special discounts, savings, and early access to exclusive experiences, making the streaming service even more appealing.
