Law & Order: Organized Crime Cancelled After 5 Seasons

“Law & Order: Organized Crime,” the spinoff series starring Christopher Meloni as Elliot Stabler, won’t be returning for a sixth season. After five seasons, the show has been officially canceled, TODAY.com confirmed. Debuting in April 2021 on NBC, the series followed Stabler as he rejoined the NYPD to seek justice for his wife’s murder. As an executive producer of the show, Meloni brought his character back to the “Law & Order” universe after leaving “SVU” in 2011.

During its run, “Organized Crime” delved deep into Stabler’s personal life, exploring his relationships with family as well as his professional endeavors. Fans of the show were treated to crossover episodes featuring characters from “SVU,” including Mariska Hargitay’s Captain Olivia Benson. The series also featured appearances from Peter Scanavino, Ice-T, and Kelli Giddish.
