Law & Order: Organized Crime Cancelled After 5 Seasons – NBC, Peacock

After a successful run of five seasons, “Law & Order: Organized Crime” has unfortunately been canceled. The show premiered in 2021 on NBC and moved to Peacock for its final season, which concluded in June 2025. Starring Christopher Meloni as detective Elliot Stabler, the series followed his return to New York to rebuild his life after a personal tragedy. As the lead detective in Sergeant Ayanna Bell’s Organized Crime Control Bureau, Stabler worked to dismantle illegal enterprises in the city while facing dangers that followed him home. Season 5 delved into the dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism, and a crime family seeking revenge on Stabler. The cast also included Rick Gonzalez, Ainsley Seiger, and Dean Norris.

The show was co-created by Dick Wolf, Ilene Chaiken, and Matt Olmstead, with executive producers such as Wolf, Olmstead, and Meloni himself. Universal Television was the production studio, in association with Wolf Entertainment.

The original “Law & Order” series premiered in 1990 and aired for 20 seasons until 2010. After a brief hiatus, NBC revived the show for a 21st season in 2022, with Season 25 currently airing. While “Law & Order: Organized Crime” may be coming to an end, the legacy of the “Law & Order” franchise continues to thrive.
