Spring TV: Why We’re Seeing Stars
In a recent trend in TV land, big-name stars are popping up in multiple shows simultaneously, creating an exciting yet slightly bittersweet development. Take David Boreanaz, for example, who recently joined NBC’s Rockford Files reboot, adding to his impressive TV resume that spans nearly three decades from ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ to ‘SEAL Team.’
And then there’s Joel Kinnaman, known for ‘The Killing’ and ‘Robocop,’ who landed regular roles in three different shows that all premiered within a 10-day window. Talk about a busy schedule!
Boreanaz represents the old-school TV era, where actors were confined to one show per season with a set number of episodes. But times have changed, and Kinnaman’s triple-threat status reflects a new norm where actors can juggle multiple projects more easily.
This shift in the television landscape is definitely keeping things interesting and giving us more opportunities to see our favorite actors in action. Who knows what other surprises the small screen has in store for us next?
