Ryan Coogler to Adapt “Animorphs” Book Series for Disney+

Renowned filmmaker Ryan Coogler is diving into a new project that’ll have fans of ’90s nostalgia thrilled. The beloved Animorphs book series, which debuted in 1996, is getting the TV treatment on Disney+, with Coogler set to executive produce the show.

The upcoming series from 20th Television will follow a group of teenagers uncovering a hidden threat beneath their everyday lives, all while navigating the challenges of relationships, curfews, and the chaos of high school. Coogler will be working alongside Proximity Media’s Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler, as well as Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman from Scholastic, to bring this iconic series to life.
