Widow’s Bay Horror Comedy Series Trailer Released on Apple TV

Widow’s Bay is making its way to Apple TV soon! The exciting horror-comedy series has set a premiere date and released its official trailer.

Starring Matthew Rhys, Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Kevin Carroll, and Dale Dickey, Widow’s Bay takes viewers on an adventure with the residents of a mysterious New England Island.
Apple TV shared some details about the series:

“Pack your bags and head to ‘Widow’s Bay,’ the charming island just 40 miles from the coast of New England… safe and totally normal. Apple TV is ready to unveil a teaser trailer for this innovative series. Led by Emmy Award winner Matthew Rhys, who is also an executive producer, and created by Katie Dippold and directed by Hiro Murai. The 10-episode series will kick off on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, with back-to-back episodes. Subsequent episodes will air every Wednesday until June 17, 2026. Additionally, there will be a special two-episode release on Wednesday, May 27.”

“Widow’s Bay” offers a unique blend of horror and character-driven comedy, featuring a fantastic cast. The storyline follows Mayor Tom Loftis, played by Matthew Rhys, as he strives to bring life back to his community. With quirky locals and longstanding superstitions, Mayor Loftis faces challenges to transform the island into a tourist destination. But things take a turn when odd occurrences from the past resurface, proving the old stories may not be as far-fetched as they seemed.

The series is produced by Apple Studios, with Katie Dippold as the creator, showrunner, and executive producer. Hiro Murai and Carver Karaszewski are also part of the executive team. Murai will direct five episodes this season, alongside directors Ti West, Sam Donovan, and Andrew DeYoung.
