D23 Ultimate Disney Fan Event Details Revealed

Disney has just spilled the beans on this year’s “D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event,” set to take place in Anaheim, California, this summer. It’s going to be three action-packed days filled with exclusive first looks at the latest Disney stories, creativity, and innovation. This event will be the place to be for fans eager to rub elbows with stars and storytellers, catch sneak peeks, go behind the scenes, enjoy thrilling performances, immerse themselves in experiences, do some serious shopping, and be treated to surprises only Disney can pull off.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is where Disney will really flex its storytelling muscles, bringing together beloved franchises, cutting-edge new ideas, and the visionary minds shaping the future of Disney. Each day will feature a marquee presentation at the Honda Center, with the Disney Entertainment Showcase on Friday, the Disney Experiences Showcase on Saturday, and the Disney Legends Award Ceremony on Sunday.

For us Disney+ subscribers, the Disney Entertainment Showcase is the one to watch. This panel will give us the inside scoop on the biggest and best movies and shows coming our way in the next couple of years. Disney has also let us know that the Disney Legends Award Ceremony will be live-streamed on Disney+, but we’re still waiting to hear if the other showcases will be available for a global streaming audience.

Fan-favorite happenings like the D23 Mousequerade: The Ultimate Disney Costume Contest are back, celebrating Disney fandom and the creativity of fans.

There’s also a little documentary premiere happening, courtesy of filmmaker Leslie Iwerks, showcasing a brand-new Disney story through her unique lens.

The show floor at D23 will be the biggest and most cutting-edge yet, with interactive worlds bringing Disney stories to life. From Disney Experiences and Walt Disney Imagineering to Disney+, Hulu, and all the best shopping, fans will be spoiled for choice. And there are new experiences too, like Mundo Pixar: The D23 Experience, highlighting iconic sets from beloved Pixar movies, and ESPN and the Road to the Super Bowl, where sports and entertainment collide.

If you’re feeling competitive, there’s something special for you too – the Disney Lorcana Challenge Championship Qualifier, where the winner gets a spot at the 2027 Disney Lorcana North American Championship.

Walt Disney Archives: Uncrated takes fans on a journey through the hidden treasures of the Walt Disney Archives, offering a chance to explore props, costumes, and puppets from cherished films, TV shows, and theme parks across Disney’s history.

Tickets for the event have just been announced, with a special perk for Disney+ subscribers. D23 Gold Members, including those on a complimentary Gold Member plan via Disney+ Perks or paid Gold Essential, Choice, and Complete plans, can snag tickets – with special perks for monthly subscribers too!

Tickets will go on sale in stages, starting with a 24-hour exclusive window for current D23 Gold Charter Members on March 31, followed by priority purchase windows for other Gold Members on April 2.
