HBO Max Launches in UK with Star-Studded Party Featuring New ‘Harry Potter’ Trio

HBO Max has finally made its grand entrance in the U.K. with a fabulous star-studded party attended by the new trio set to play Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the upcoming TV reboot of the beloved “Harry Potter” series. Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout, and Arabella Stanton, portraying the iconic trio, stepped away from the world of Hogwarts to experience their first-ever red carpet event together at HBO Max’s glamorous U.K. launch bash.

The event, held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London’s Southbank Centre, brought together an impressive lineup of talent from HBO’s various shows. The new Potter stars were joined by big names like Steve Carell, Lisa Kudrow, Noah Wyle, Linda Cardellini, and David Chase who flew across the Atlantic for the occasion. On the home front, Marisa Abela, Aimee Lou Wood, Jason Isaacs, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, and James Norton were among the local stars who graced the event with their presence.

Despite concerns about HBO Max’s future following Paramount Skydance’s Warner Bros. Discovery acquisition, which includes plans to combine HBO with Paramount+, the focus at the launch party was on celebration. Guests enjoyed an abundance of champagne, cocktails, and canapés, setting aside any worries about the business end of things for a night of elegance and revelry.
