Daredevil Season 2: Charlie Cox Talks Donning Black Suit

Fans of Daredevil are in for a treat with the upcoming second season of “Daredevil: Born Again” on Disney+. Star Charlie Cox, known for his role as Matt Murdock, opens up about the psychological depth behind Daredevil’s new black suit in the series. As the story unfolds, Matt is forced into hiding due to Kingpin’s martial law and the escalating danger faced by vigilantes in New York.

In a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, Cox shared his insights on the symbolic significance of the black suit for Matt Murdock. According to Cox, the shift to this stealthy and darker costume represents a return to Daredevil’s roots of hiding in the shadows. With Kingpin cracking down on threats using his Anti-Vigilante Task Force, both Matt Murdock and Karen Page (played by Deborah Ann Woll) find themselves on the run, struggling to navigate their new reality.

The upcoming season also introduces a new twist with Daredevil sporting a Shadowland-inspired suit, complete with black and red accents and his initials boldly displayed. Cox teases that Matt and Karen are more hunted than ever before, emphasizing the constant danger they face in their quest for survival. With the absence of Jon Bernthal’s character, Krysten Ritter steps in to reprise her role as Jessica Jones, offering support to Daredevil in his battle against Kingpin.

“Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2, featuring an ensemble cast including Margarita Levieva, Zabryna Guevara, and Nikki M. James, is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 24th. So gear up for an action-packed season filled with suspense, drama, and the iconic black Daredevil suit!
