Many One Piece fans waited patiently for more than two years for season 2, only to find this disappointing filler episode that feels like a cost-cutting measure by Netflix. In an otherwise visually appealing show, “Reindeer Shames” falls short with its lackluster CGI and disconnected storyline.

For those unfamiliar with the anime version of One Piece, like me, this episode might be particularly confusing and off-putting. It features a talking reindeer named Chopper, who may be a beloved character in the anime but fails to impress in this live-action adaptation.

Instead of delivering the thrilling pirate adventure content that viewers sign up for, “Reindeer Shames” fixates on uninteresting dialogues about the importance of Doctors. The episode left me wishing for interruptions or ads just to break up the monotony.

At the end of the day, “Reindeer Shames” serves as a cautionary tale to stop watching One Piece unless supervised by a Doctor. The hope is that future episodes will not continue down this disappointing path, but for now, it might be best to wait for reviews or recommendations before diving back in.
