Comcast’s Sky in U.K. Offers Subs Free Access to Disney+ Ads

Comcast’s Sky, which is part of the company’s network in the United Kingdom, has some exciting news for its satellite TV customers. Now, certain subscribers can enjoy free access to an ad-supported version of Disney+ through their Sky package. This offer is valued at about $6.90 per month, which is a pretty sweet deal!

Back in February, Sky made headlines by announcing that it would be bundling together Disney+, HBO Max, Hayu, and Netflix with its regular Sky TV service, all for one convenient subscription price. This move aims to give consumers more entertainment options under one roof, literally.

Existing Sky customers who already have a Disney+ subscription can easily transfer that over to their Sky account. By doing this, they can save over £70 a year and still keep all their profiles and watch history intact. If customers prefer, they also have the choice to upgrade to an ad-free Disney+ experience by paying the price difference.

2026 kicked off on a high note for Sky, boasting around 23 million paid subscribers all across Europe. Specifically, they have 12.7 million subscribers in the U.K. and Ireland, 5 million in Italy, and another 5 million in Germany and Austria. That’s a whole lot of people tuning into Sky content!

A special treat for Sky Cinema customers is the new Disney+ Cinema channel. This channel features a range of movies from Disney+ combined with films from Sky, Paramount+, and NBCUniversal. It’s like having your own mini movie theatre right at home.

With approximately 50 titles offered at the start, Disney+ has put together a lineup that includes fan-favorites spanning Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. Plus, there will be new movies added weekly to keep things exciting. Some upcoming films to look out for are “Iron Man,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Alien: Romulus.” That sounds like a movie lover’s dream come true!

To top it all off, viewers will find a selection of Disney+ titles featured on Sky’s various linear channels, including popular series like “Andor” and “The Bear,” as well as the intriguing original series “Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story.” These titles will be available on channels like Sky Atlantic, Sky One, and Sky Witness for eligible viewers and NOW Entertainment customers.
