Live-Action Tinker Bell Series Coming to Disney+

Disney is getting ready to sprinkle a little fairy magic on Disney+ with a brand new live-action series centered on the beloved character, Tinker Bell. The show, named Tink, will bring a fresh take on the classic fairy to our screens, drawing inspiration from the original character.

If this news sounds vaguely familiar, that’s because Disney has been toying with the idea for quite some time. In fact, a decade ago, there was talk of a similar project with Reese Witherspoon in the lead role. But now, this new version is being led by Disney veteran Gary Marsh, alongside writers Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter, known for their work on popular shows like Friday Night Lights and Parenthood.

Disney has had its fair share of live-action hits and misses, with the recent Peter Pan & Wendy adaptation receiving mixed reviews. However, with the success of films like Lilo & Stitch, the studio seems to be diving back into the magical world of live-action. Other projects in the pipeline include Moana, Tangled, Hercules, and even a spin-off featuring Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.
