Chaka Khan Musical “I’m Every Woman” to premiere at Hackney Empire, London

I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical is making a move! Due to ongoing repairs at the Peacock Theatre in London, the show’s West End premiere has been cancelled. But fear not, fans of Chaka Khan and Alexandra Burke— the show will now hit the stage at the Hackney Empire from 20 to 25 March 2026. Tickets will be available for purchase starting from 11 am on 5 March, so mark your calendars!

Producer Adrian Grant shared that they were caught off guard by the closure of the Peacock Theatre just days before the scheduled opening of I’m Every Woman. While it’s disappointing, the change is completely outside of their control. The cast, crew, and creative team are ready to showcase the incredible show they’ve been working on for over three years in collaboration with Chaka Khan herself.

Based on the remarkable life and music of Chaka Khan, I’m Every Woman promises to reveal the real woman behind the music legend. From her time with the Black Panther Party to her solo superstardom, the musical features all of Khan’s greatest hits like “I’m Every Woman,” “Ain’t Nobody,” and more.

The talented cast includes Alexandra Burke as Chaka Khan and Jordan Frazier as the alternate Chaka Khan. With a book by Nia T. Hill and direction by Racky Plews, this show is sure to be a hit with fans of Chaka Khan and musical theatre alike.
