Yogurt Shop Murders – Streaming Soon on ABC, Hulu, and Disney+

The classic case of the “Yogurt Shop Murders” is set to hit our screens again soon, thanks to an upcoming “20/20” documentary from Disney. It’s a story that shook the country over 30 years ago and still captures attention today. Back in December 1991, four young girls were tragically found dead inside a yogurt shop in Austin, Texas. The crime scene was badly damaged by fire, making it challenging for law enforcement to gather evidence. After identifying four teenage boys as suspects, two of them made false confessions and were wrongfully convicted of the murders. One received a death sentence, and the other was sentenced to life in prison.

Decades passed with no progress on the case until a dedicated cold case detective managed to uncover new leads, eventually leading authorities to a serial killer. Just last week, after 34 years, the emotional trial came to an end, bringing closure and justice to the victims’ families and the falsely accused.

In this special “20/20” episode, we’ll hear from the killer’s daughter, family members of the victims, law enforcement officials, and genetic genealogist CeCe Moore. The episode will air on February 27th, 2026, at 9:00-11:00 p.m. EST on ABC, with streaming available on Disney+ and Hulu the following day.

“20/20” is a renowned investigative news program that has been digging into stories for over 45 years, bringing viewers real-life crime mysteries and exclusive in-depth coverage.
