JAY-Z Releases ‘Dead Presidents’ on Streaming Services: First Time Availability

JAY-Z has made a big move by releasing his iconic hit “Dead Presidents” on streaming services for the first time. This classic track, produced by Ski Beatz, originally sampled Nas’ “The World Is Yours” and was first dropped as a promotional single from JAY-Z’s debut album Reasonable Doubt back in 1996. Interestingly, the original version didn’t make it onto the album, but a modified version called “Dead Presidents II” did. Now, fans can enjoy the OG version on various streaming platforms as well as physical media like cassettes, CDs, and vinyl.

To add to the excitement, JAY-Z also shared the music video for “Dead Presidents” on streaming services. Shot in New York City, the video features appearances by JAY-Z, Dame Dash, AZ, Lil’ Cease, Kareem “Biggs” Burke, Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith, and the Notorious B.I.G. Fans were pleasantly surprised by this unexpected release, especially after noticing that JAY-Z temporarily changed his name to “JAŸ-Z” on streaming services, a nod to his early career stylization. Additionally, the launch of his new website jayz30.com hints at more surprises to come leading up to the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt.

Be sure to check out the music video for “Dead Presidents” and give the track a listen on iHeartRadio to experience this historic moment in JAY-Z’s career!
