Paramount+ and Prime Video secure major UEFA broadcast deals

Paramount+ has some exciting news for fans in the UK – they’ve secured the rights to broadcast UEFA Champions League matches for four years starting from the 2027/28 season. Meanwhile, Prime Video is continuing to show the top-pick Tuesday Champions League match in the UK from 2027 to 2031. This is part of a broader four-year deal that will see Amazon holding on to top-pick matches in multiple markets. In addition to the UK, Prime Video will also exclusively show the top Tuesday game in Ireland and the top Wednesday fixture in Germany and Italy.

This deal extends Prime Video’s involvement in the UEFA Champions League until the 2030/31 season. Alex Green, Managing Director of Prime Video Sport International, views this renewal as a significant milestone. He believes that the mix of high-profile games and Prime’s wide customer base has led to record viewership numbers. Green also mentioned that this long-term agreement gives Prime Video the opportunity to keep innovating and introducing new features for fans, like the recently introduced Prime Vision.
