Jared Leto’s Sci-Fi Flop Gains Audience on Disney+

“Tron: Ares” didn’t exactly light up the box office when it hit theaters, pulling in a disappointing $142.2 million against a hefty production budget of nearly $220 million. Critics weren’t too impressed either, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 53% and some scathing reviews. But, just like the saying goes, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure. Disney+ fans seem to be enjoying this sci-fi flick on the streaming platform.

The movie’s biggest draw was its stunning visuals and epic soundtrack, with Nine Inch Nails providing the music for this installment. The CGI landscapes and cool futuristic transport were fan favorites, but unfortunately, the story and performances didn’t quite hit the mark. Jared Leto’s portrayal as Ares didn’t quite land with audiences, which could explain why the film found its audience on Disney+.

If you’re looking for a film that doesn’t require your full attention and offers some eye-catching visuals and cool tunes, “Tron: Ares” might be worth checking out. Even though Disney seems to be moving away from the franchise, leaving some plot threads unresolved, you can still enjoy the flashy Light Cycles racing through city streets at home.
