“Wicked: For Good” Confirms Peacock and Netflix Streaming Release Dates

The highly anticipated film Wicked: For Good is set to arrive on both Peacock and Netflix for streaming in the United States. Fans can catch the second half of this cinematic event on Peacock starting March 20th, followed by its Netflix debut on Monday, July 20th, 2026.

Wondering why there is a gap between the premieres on both platforms? It all comes down to a special agreement between Universal Pictures and Netflix called the “Pay-1” licensing deal. Netflix gets Universal’s live-action films four months after they premiere on Peacock.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, Wicked: For Good continues the story of Elphaba and Glinda from the iconic Broadway musical. This installment explores the fallout of their paths diverging, as they grapple with their friendship and its impact on the future of Oz.

Fans can expect to see returning cast members like Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba Thropp, Ariana Grande as Glinda Upland, and more. The film will feature memorable musical numbers like “Thank Goodness,” “No Good Deed,” and the heartfelt title track, “For Good.”

While the sequel didn’t quite reach the same level of success as the original, it still offers a powerful conclusion to the Witches of Oz story. With a box office gross of over $500 million and a Rotten Tomatoes score of 66%, there’s still plenty to enjoy in this exciting next chapter.
