William Facing Ban in New Residence
Prince William may have to say goodbye to his trusty e-scooter soon, all because of a Crown estate policy. It seems like even royals aren’t immune to rules – keep reading to find out more.
Recently, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared their plans to move into Forest Lodge, their new abode. But there’s a catch: the property has strict rules about “motorized transport,” which includes e-scooters, hoverboards, and one-wheels on the Crown estate grounds.
According to reports, Prince William enjoyed zipping around the castle on his e-scooter, but with the new ban in place, he’ll have to find another way to get around. The Windsor Great Park website explains that motorized transport is prohibited for safety and traffic management reasons, making exceptions only for cyclists, residents, and estate workers.
In an episode of The Reluctant Traveler, Prince William showcased his e-scooter skills while touring Windsor Castle. It was a surprising mode of transportation for host Levy, who couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight. However, the royal defended his choice, stating that it worked perfectly for traveling around the castle grounds.
Despite having to part ways with his e-scooter, Prince William seems ready to embrace the new rules at Forest Lodge. It’s all about following the regulations, even if it means giving up a beloved way to get around.
