been easy. It has been filled with challenges, doubts, and moments of fear. But today, I am taking a step. I am sharing my story. I am coming out. I am proud to say that I am gay. I am proud to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community. And I am grateful for the support and love that I have received from my teammates, past and present. To all the closeted athletes out there, know that you are not alone. Your story is valid, and your identity is beautiful. It is never too late to embrace who you are and live your truth. Thank you to Heated Rivalry for inspiring me, and to everyone who has supported me on this journey. The ice has always been a place of refuge for me, and today, it feels different. Today, it feels like home.
