HBO renews popular series before upcoming season premiere
Super exciting news for fans of the medical drama “The Pitt”! HBO Max has officially renewed the show for a third season, even before the second season premiered. HBO CEO Casey Bloys shared the news on January 7, just in time for the season 2 premiere on January 8.
The show, known for its medical accuracy and gripping storylines, has quickly become a fan favorite. In fact, it scooped up five Emmys in 2025, including awards for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series and Outstanding Directing.
Starring Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, the show follows the intense 15-hour shifts at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. And fans will be thrilled to know that Wyle and the rest of the incredible ensemble cast will be back for season 3 in 2027.
