LG introduces Prime Video to automotive content platform
LG is stepping up its game by integrating Prime Video into the LG Automotive Content Platform (ACP). This is big news because it means that automakers who use the ACP will soon be able to offer Prime Video’s extensive library of movies, series, live events, and exclusive Prime Originals to passengers starting in the second quarter of 2026.
According to Jae Byun, the president of LG Electronics Vehicle Solution USA, the LG ACP is optimized for the in-car environment, providing passengers the opportunity to enjoy their favorite content just like they would at home on LG’s popular webOS smart TV platform.
Emily Aldis, Director of Devices and AI Partnerships for Prime Video, expressed excitement about bringing Prime Video’s diverse collection of premium entertainment to even more customers through the LG ACP. This integration reinforces their commitment to making Prime Video accessible across all screens and experiences.
The LG ACP, as part of the LG AlphaWare software suite, is revolutionizing vehicle entertainment systems by transforming vehicles into “living spaces on wheels.” Designed to provide seamless in-car experiences, the webOS-based LG ACP offers intuitive access to essential information and services through popular apps.
Byun highlighted that the LG ACP elevates the in-vehicle infotainment experience through top-notch content delivery and superior audio quality. LG promises customers the best webOS entertainment experience, whether they are at home or on the go.
