Amazon’s ‘Tomb Raider’ Show Cast Announced

Exciting news for Tomb Raider fans! Prime Video has just announced the supporting cast for the upcoming Tomb Raider series, led by Sophie Turner. While we’ve been eagerly awaiting this news (remember when there was all that speculation about Sophie Turner as Lara?), it’s great to see things moving forward on this highly anticipated show.

Some familiar faces from the Tomb Raider games will be making their appearance in the series. Martin Bobb-Semple will play Zip, a tech prodigy and hacker. Bill Paterson joins as Winston, Lara’s loyal butler. And the talented Jason Isaacs will portray Atlas DeMornay, Lara’s uncle from Rise of the Tomb Raider.

But wait, there’s more! The rest of the cast includes some new characters played by a star-studded lineup. The legendary Sigourney Weaver steps into the role of Evelyn Wallis, while Jack Bannon becomes Lara’s personal pilot and snack collector, Gerry. John Heffernan plays David, a weary government official caught up in Lara’s adventures. Paterson Joseph portrays Thomas Warner, another government official with a big mess to clean up. Sasha Luss is Sasha, a fierce rival of Lara’s. Juliette Motamed and Celia Imrie bring characters from the British Museum to life, with August Wittgenstein playing Lukas, an illegal raider with a shared history with Lara.

It looks like Lara won’t just be dealing with underworld foes in the series. She’ll also find herself entangled with the British government and the British Museum. It’s going to be an action-packed ride for sure!

According to Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the show’s creator, “Tomb Raider boasts a plethora of iconic characters. I am thrilled to have been able to bring some personal and fan favorites to the screen while also introducing a few new rascals of our own to the mix.” We can’t wait to see how this all plays out on screen!

Production on the series is gearing up to start soon, just in time for the release of Lara’s new video game era. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project!
