Critics’ Choice Awards Winners 2022: Live Updates
One Battle After Another took home the top prize for Best Picture at the Critics Choice Awards. The film was a standout during Sunday night’s ceremony.
Paul Thomas Anderson was awarded Best Director for his impactful work on the film.
Another big winner of the night was Sinners, which walked away with four awards. This included Best Casting and Ensemble, a new category this year, won by Francine Maisle.
Miles Caton from Sinners was named Best Young Actor or Actress, while Ryan Coogler received recognition for Best Original Screenplay, and Ludwig Göransson took home the trophy for Best Score.
The acting categories also boasted some impressive winners. Timothée Chalamet was recognized as Best Actor for his role in Marty Supreme, and Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet. Jacob Elordi earned the title of Best Supporting Actor for Frankenstein, with Amy Madigan securing the Best Supporting Actress award for Weapons.
In the limited series acting category, the winners were Sarah Snook from All Her Fault and Erin Doherty, Stephen Graham, and Owen Cooper from Adolescence – which also snagged the Best Limited Series award.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! was deemed the Best Talk Show of the night.
The drama series acting winners included Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa for The Pitt, Tramell Tillman for Severance, and Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus.
The Studio took home the trophy for Best Comedy Series, with Seth Rogen, Ike Barinholtz, Jean Smart, and Janelle James all taking home acting awards in the comedy categories.
The catchy tune “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters was named Best Song, and the film itself won for Best Animated Feature.
Hosted by Chelsea Handler, the Critics Choice Awards saw the addition of four new categories this year: Casting/Ensemble, Best Variety Series, Stunt Design, and Sound.
