Top Streamers Increase Sign-ups in November 2025

The holiday season brought some big wins for streaming services in November, with Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max, Paramount+, and Peacock all seeing a significant increase in new subscriber sign-ups. According to Antenna, a subscription research company, Disney+ nearly doubled its sign-ups from October and added over a million new subscribers compared to the same time last year. With 4.04 million new subscribers in November, Disney+ saw impressive growth.

Hulu wasn’t far behind, with 4.01 million new sign-ups, up from 3.6 million in November 2024. Analysts attribute this growth to the popularity of Disney’s bundling options, including the new ESPN streaming app that launched recently.

Peacock, Paramount+, and HBO Max also saw strong gains, with 3.76 million new subscribers each. In terms of market share for new paying subscribers, Disney+ and Hulu each captured 17%, while HBO Max followed closely behind at 16%.

Despite the overall growth in new subscribers, the monthly churn rate for streamers was 5%. Churn rate measures cancellations divided by total subscribers by the end of the month. In November, Netflix had the lowest churn rate at 2%, while Starz and Peacock had higher rates at 9% and 2%, respectively. Overall, the streaming landscape continues to see growth, with various services vying for subscribers’ attention.
