Jhoné Lucas debuts in first Paramount+ movie: Finding her spotlight in Omaha

North Omaha native Jhoné Lucas is hitting the big screen with her debut on Paramount+ and is excited to give back to the community that raised her.

Growing up in Omaha, Lucas found her love for performing at The Rose Theater when she played the mayor in “Munchkintown” as a seventh-grader. That experience solidified her passion for acting and set her on a new path.

Lucas credits her church, theater programs, and supportive family for keeping her focused and steering her away from distractions that many teenagers face. She emphasizes the importance of having a strong community that provides alternative outlets for young people.

Now, with her movie “Critical Impact” set to stream on Paramount+, Lucas is eager to come back home to mentor theater students and inspire young artists to pursue their dreams. She wants to share her journey with others and offer advice and encouragement to aspiring performers, especially those from neighborhoods similar to hers.

Lucas’s story is a testament to what is possible when talent meets opportunity, support, and a nurturing community. She hopes to show others that with determination and hard work, anyone can achieve their goals no matter where they come from.
