“Stranger Things Stats: 1.2 Billion Views and Popular Rewatched Scenes”

As “Stranger Things” reaches its conclusion with the series finale scheduled for release on New Year’s Eve, the impact of this Netflix hit over the past nine years is undeniable.

The final season broke new viewership records even before its release and went on to have Netflix’s biggest-ever opening week for an English-language series. Now, just ahead of the release of the second part of Season 5, Netflix has announced that “Stranger Things” has surpassed 1.2 billion total views.

This landmark achievement, calculated by tallying the total time the series has been streamed across all episodes, solidifies “Stranger Things” as the most-viewed series in Netflix history. Even popular shows like “Wednesday” and “Squid Game” don’t quite reach the level of total views that “Stranger Things” has achieved. Season 4, which was released in 2022, is still the second most popular English-language title on Netflix. Season 3, released over six years ago, had only recently dropped off that list.

The most-rewatched scenes in the show’s history come from these popular seasons, with the top spot going to the scene in Season 4 Episode 7 where Nancy (Natalia Dyer) falls into a tight spot.
