The series also saw more than five million page views on its website, showcasing the growing popularity of the sport.
One of the key factors that contributed to this success was the implementation of major reforms in the UCI Regulations. These changes included new team qualification processes, simplified Downhill qualifying formats, and increased visibility for athletes and teams. By unifying various mountain bike formats under a single brand, the series was able to create a more cohesive and exciting experience for participants and viewers alike.
Throughout the season, 64 UCI World Cup winners were crowned, with new overall champions emerging in almost every Elite category. This highlights the heightened competitiveness and thrill of the races, driven by the latest reforms. Additionally, 30 mountain bike manufacturers secured UCI World Cup victories through their trade teams, with Canyon leading the pack.
The series also featured some exciting new venues, such as La Thuile in Italy, which hosted the first-ever UCI Enduro World Cup night race. The introduction of thrilling Downhill courses at venues like Lake Placid Olympic Region in the USA added to the excitement of the season.
In terms of viewership, the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series continued to set new records for worldwide TV viewership. WBD’s channels and platforms played a significant role in reaching over 87 million cumulative views across the season. Changes were made to enhance broadcast graphics, providing better visibility for teams, athletes, and brands, while also offering viewers more insights into the racing action.
The series also expanded its digital and social media coverage, attracting over 250,000 new followers on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. The total follower count now stands at 1.25 million, with over one billion impressions since 2023. The official website of the series also saw record traffic, generating five million total page views in 2025.
On-site attendance was also impressive, with a record 440,000 fans showing up to watch the races live. Fans expressed their excitement and willingness to return to future events, with many flocking to iconic venues like Les Gets and Morillon.
Chris Ball, VP Cycling Events at Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, expressed his pride in the series’ success, noting that the reforms implemented have truly transformed the sport and enhanced the experience for athletes and fans alike. The positive response to the changes reflects the vision and ambition behind the series, establishing it as a thrilling spectacle on the international sporting calendar.
