Disney+ Bundles with Middle Eastern Streamers Shahid and OSN+

Disney+ has some exciting news for viewers in the Middle East! They’re teaming up with popular regional streamers, Shahid and OSN+, to offer a discounted bundle service. Starting December 18, subscribers can access Disney+ and OSN+ on Shahid for a single price. This partnership represents a big step towards shaping the future of entertainment in the Middle East.

Karl Holmes, SVP and GM of Disney+ EMEA, shared his excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the region’s dynamic and fast-growing nature. Reports suggest that by 2029, there could be 28 million SVOD subscriptions across 13 Arabic countries, showing a significant increase from 15 million in 2023. While Netflix is anticipated to maintain its lead, local players like Shahid and OSN+ are gearing up to challenge the market.

Shahid VIP and OSN+ look to capture 46% of all Arabic subscriptions by 2029, with an estimated 4.7 million new subscribers from 2023. Disney+ recently reported 72.4 million international subscribers at the end of their last fiscal period on Sept. 27. Natasha Matos-Hemingway, chief commercial and marketing officer at Shahid, emphasized that this bundle represents a major move towards enhancing the digital entertainment experience in the region, promising convenience, value, and top-quality content for subscribers.

With this partnership offering one subscription, one payment, and access to premium content from all three platforms, Disney, Shahid, and OSN+, viewers in the Middle East can enjoy a convenient, enticing, and entertaining streaming experience.
