The Star Trek universe is gearing up for an exciting new series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, set to premiere on Paramount+ in the new year. A recent clip was unveiled at the CCXP convention in Brazil, giving fans a sneak peek at the upcoming show.

In Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, viewers will follow a group of fresh cadets as they navigate the challenges of training under the watchful eyes of Starfleet’s finest. From forging friendships to facing off in rivalries, experiencing first loves, and stepping into their destinies as the next generation of Starfleet officers, these cadets will have their hands full. And when a new enemy threatens the Academy and the Federation itself, they must rise to the challenge or risk losing everything they’ve worked for.

The series boasts a talented cast, including Holly Hunter as the captain and chancellor of Starfleet Academy, alongside Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, Bella Shepard, and Zoë Steiner. Fans can also look forward to appearances from Tig Notaro and Robert Picardo, reprising their roles as Jett Reno and The Doctor, as well as guest stars Oded Fehr and Mary Wiseman, recurring guest stars Gina Yashere and Paul Giamatti.
