Apple TV Trailer: Born to be Wild Puts a Cute Face on Extinction

Apple TV is set to release the Born to Be Wild documentary series on December 19, and the first trailer is already generating buzz. The series, narrated by Hugh Bonneville, known for his roles in Paddington and Downton Abbey, follows the uplifting journeys of endangered animals raised by dedicated conservationists. The documentary aims to showcase the strong bonds between humans and animals, essential for species survival in the face of extinction threats.

Filmed across five countries over several years, the series features six remarkable stories of young endangered animals, including an orphaned elephant calf, two cheetahs, a ring-tailed lemur, a moon bear cub, Iberian lynx kittens, and rescued African penguins. Each animal, orphaned or born through conservation programs, undergoes a heartwarming process of care and rehabilitation before being released back into the wild.

Born to Be Wild highlights the heroic efforts of the people involved in raising, rehabilitating, and re-wilding these animals to ensure the survival of their species. Produced by Tailfeather Productions and Offspring Films for Apple TV+, the series promises an emotional and intimate look at these powerful relationships.

All six episodes of the Born to Be Wild documentary series will be available for streaming on December 19. The Apple TV+ subscription, priced at $12.99 with a seven-day free trial, offers a variety of documentaries, including award-winning hits like Ted Lasso and CODA. As the first all-original streaming service to launch worldwide, Apple TV+ continues to receive critical acclaim for its original content.
