Downton Abbey Grand Finale Streaming Date on Peacock

Downton Abbey fans, get excited! The final chapter of the beloved franchise, “Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale,” will be streaming on Peacock soon. This movie initially hit theaters on Sept. 12 before premiering on digital platforms via premium video on demand on Sept. 30. The film digs into a scandal involving Mary (played by Michelle Dockery) and the Crawley family’s financial issues, forcing everyone to confront the looming threat of social disgrace. The storyline sees the Crawleys navigating change as the staff prepares for a new era with the next generation at the helm.

Directed by Simon Curtis and penned by Julian Fellowes, the mastermind behind the Downton Abbey TV series, the cast includes familiar faces like Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, and more. Peacock recently announced that “Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale” will start streaming on their platform starting Friday, Nov. 7.

For those who aren’t Peacock subscribers yet, the platform offers a couple of tiers: an ad-supported Peacock Premium for $10.99 per month or $109.99 per year, and an ad-free Peacock Premium Plus for $16.99 per month or $169.99 per year.

Hugh Bonneville, who portrays Robert Crowley in the Downton Abbey series and movies, shared his thoughts on the final film with Moviefone. He expressed satisfaction with the way the story wrapped up, feeling that it provided a fitting farewell to their loyal audience who have supported them over the years.

Both critics and audiences have welcomed “Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale” with open arms. Rotten Tomatoes awarded the film a 91% “fresh” rating from critics and a 96% user score based on over 2,500 ratings. This highly anticipated movie, rated PG, is set to grace Peacock screens on Nov. 7.
