Rivals Season 2 First Look: David Tennant and Cast Return

Fans of the hit show Rivals have been eagerly awaiting the second season, and now we finally have a sneak peek at what’s to come, thanks to Disney+. The first season left us with a dramatic cliffhanger involving David Tennant’s character, Lord Tony Baddingham, being clubbed over the head. It looks like he’s ready for revenge in the new season, as seen in a new image of him looking determined as he walks away from his helicopter.

Other images give us a glimpse of Nafessa Williams’s Cameron, Aidan Turner’s Declan, and Bella Maclean’s Taggie and Alex Hassell’s Rupert. It seems like there’s still tension and secrets to be revealed among the characters, especially regarding Rupert and Taggie’s budding relationship.

While we don’t have an exact release date for Rivals season 2 yet, we do know it will premiere in 2026. The new episodes promise even more drama, wit, and jaw-dropping twists, as power struggles escalate and rivalries deepen.

Filming in the UK, the new season comes after the passing of Rivals author Dame Jilly Cooper, who was also an executive producer of the show. The upcoming season is set in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside and will feature the familiar faces of the original cast, as well as some new additions, like Rupert Everett and Hayley Atwell.

With these exciting teases and the promise of more excitement to come, fans of Rivals can’t wait for the new season to premiere. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready for more drama, intrigue, and surprises in Rivals season 2.
