Mad Men debuts on HBO Max with production errors and visible vomit machine

Fans of the iconic period drama “Mad Men” were thrilled when digitally remastered episodes landed on HBO Max this week. The streaming service promised crisp 4K resolution for an enhanced viewing experience, but some viewers got more than they bargained for when they noticed production errors in the episodes.

In one Season 1 episode, a famous scene featuring a drunken Roger Sterling saw crew members operating a device for fake vomit that was accidentally left in the shot. In another Season 2 episode, fans spotted an anachronistic Mexican restaurant with a Los Angeles phone number and an ad for cellphone SIM cards in 1960s New York City.

These errors were due to the incorrect files being delivered to HBO Max, and producers are now working to fix the mistakes and provide viewers with the correct versions of the show. Despite the mishaps, “Mad Men” remains a beloved series that ran for 92 episodes from 2007 to 2015, featuring a stellar cast including John Slattery, Elisabeth Moss, Jon Hamm, January Jones, Christina Hendricks, and Vincent Kartheiser. The show earned 16 Emmys, including four for best drama.

Excitingly, fans can now enjoy “Mad Men” in all its glory on HBO Max, complete with its authentic 1960s charm and compelling storytelling.
