Apple TV Releases Trailer for ‘First Snow of Fraggle Rock’ Holiday Special
Apple TV recently dropped a trailer for its upcoming holiday special, “The First Snow of Fraggle Rock,” set to premiere on December 5th worldwide. The special, based on Jim Henson’s beloved “Fraggle Rock” franchise, showcases the Fraggles as they eagerly anticipate holiday traditions. However, when only a single snowflake falls and Gobo struggles to pen the anticipated annual holiday song, the season takes an unexpected turn. For the first time, Gobo embarks on a journey to the human world, known as “Outer Space” to the Fraggles, seeking musical inspiration. Meanwhile, at the Gorgs’ castle, Junior grapples with the arrival of a new baby Gorg.
Adding to the excitement, musical artist Lele Pons makes a cameo appearance, joining Gobo for a duet of the classic “Fraggle Rock” song “Our Melody,” along with two other holiday tunes. This heartfelt holiday special marks the second Christmas offering from the creative minds at The Jim Henson Co. since the launch of “Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock,” a reboot of the original series that aired on HBO from 1983 to 1987.
The executive producers of “The First Snow of Fraggle Rock” include Lisa Henson, Halle Stanford, John Tartaglia, Matt Fusfeld, Alex Cuthbertson, Arnon Milchan, and Yariv Milchan. With cameo appearances by Dave Goelz and Karen Prell, and executive music producer Harvey Mason Jr., this special is destined to be a memorable highlight of the holiday season.
