Pluribus: Apple TV’s Largest Drama Series Debut

Apple TV recently announced that Pluribus has broken records as its most successful new drama series debut to date, surpassing even Severance season two. According to Deadline, Vince Gilligan’s enigmatic show has captured audiences worldwide, making it the biggest global drama series launch for the streaming platform.

Pluribus has garnered the most attention in countries such as the US, UK, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Germany, Mexico, India, and France. New episodes of the show are being released every Friday, with viewers eagerly awaiting the drop of episode four.

While Apple has not disclosed specific viewership numbers for Pluribus, they have confirmed that it has set a new record for the service. Third-party data from Nielsen will provide more insight into the show’s performance in a few weeks.

The first season of Pluribus consists of nine episodes, with the season finale scheduled for December 26. Fans will be pleased to know that a second season is already in the works, as Apple committed to producing two seasons of the show when they acquired the rights in 2022.

Apple TV has had a stellar year in 2025, with the success of Severance season two and now Pluribus. The launch of F1: The Movie on December 12 is expected to further boost viewership. Looking ahead to 2026, Apple TV will expand its offerings by including Formula 1 and Major League Soccer in its base subscription, priced at $12.99 per month as part of the Apple One bundle.
