Twisted Metal Season 3 Approved by Peacock for PlayStation Series

Twisted Metal Season 3 is officially happening! According to Variety, more episodes of the Anthony Mackie-led series are on the way at Peacock. However, there’s been a change behind the scenes as the original showrunner, Michael Jonathan Smith, won’t be part of Season 3. Instead, David Reed, known for his work on The Boys and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, will take over as showrunner and executive producer.

The show’s popularity continues to grow, with NBCUniversal reporting that the Season 2 premiere has already racked up an impressive 993 million minutes viewed. Twisted Metal first hit screens in 2023 with Mackie in the lead role as John Doe. The cast also includes Anthony Carrigan, Thomas Haden Church, and Richard de Klerk as Calypso, Agent Stone, and Mr. Grimm, respectively. And let’s not forget about the beloved Sweet Tooth, played by Joe Seanoa and voiced by Will Arnett.

Despite the game’s absence for over a decade, Twisted Metal is keeping the spirit alive on Peacock. Creators Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are back as executive producers for Season 3, with the addition of David Reed and others. Mackie will also be involved as an executive producer, along with a talented team behind the scenes.
