New Doctor Who Episodes Not Available on Disney+

New ‘Doctor Who’ Episodes Will Not Air On Disney+

If you’re a fan of the iconic British sci-fi series Doctor Who, you might be disappointed to hear that Disney+ has decided not to continue streaming the show after just two seasons. But don’t worry—more adventures with the Doctor are on the way, just not on Disney+.

Speculation about the show’s future on Disney+ began circulating back in May, following the conclusion of the latest season and the announcement that the current Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa, would be leaving the role. While rumors swirled about the show’s demise, longstanding fans like myself know that these kinds of rumors tend to pop up whenever a new actor takes on the role of the Doctor.

Thankfully, the BBC has confirmed that Doctor Who will be returning with a new Christmas special set to air on December 25th, 2026. Despite Disney+ making the decision to part ways with the Doctor, the series will continue, as it has for over 60 years.

“The BBC remains fully committed to Doctor Who, which continues to be one of our most beloved dramas,” said BBC drama director Lindsay Salt. “We can assure fans that the Doctor is not going anywhere, and more details about the next series will be announced in due course.”

As for U.S. viewers, the question of where Doctor Who will stream in the future remains unanswered. Keep an eye out for updates on that front. And remember, the TARDIS will always have a home at the heart of the BBC.

So, while there may be changes in where we can watch the Doctor’s adventures, rest assured that the show will go on. Stay tuned to AllEars for more updates on Doctor Who.
